This memorial commemortas the Canadian soldiers who died in Bernieres-Sur-Mer on 6 June 1944. The memorial is in the shape of a Inukshuk, a staple of stones in the shape of a person pointing in the right direction. These Inukshuk were used in Canada as route-indicators.
