The monument commemorates the weapon droppings in the autumn of 1944. Four nights 86 containers of weapons, ammunition and explosives have been lowered by radio from London after the slogan "The worm has red hair" had sounded. On May 5, 1965, the farm of the Veeninga family was called 'Droppinghiem.
