Church of Coudehard

Coudehard
Normandie, France

This 12th century old church of Coudehard is a quite small building, but it bears a great history. In the August days of 1944 this church stood in the middle of the line of fire. Polish troops entrenched in this building and used it as an operating base against the German troops. Anno, 2008 you could still find the impact marks on the south-wall.
