Memorial 'The hell of Labour Camp Ellecom'

On 3 September 1942 139 Jewish men from the cities were interned here and forced to hard labour. They suffered badly from starvation. Three of the men died in Ellecom. On 21 November 1942 the others were taken to camp Westerbork. Another 12 of the group died in Westerbork. The memorial is a bronze table with the initials of the three men who died here.
