This Memorial commemorates the killed crew of the Dutch T-V 856 bomber, which was shot down on an attempt to bomb the Moerdijk-bridges. The commander received the Militaire Willemsorde, the hightest Dutch military award. In 2015, the memorial is transferred from the parking place De Zuidpunt (along the A16) to its present location.
