Museum Jewish Ghetto Cracow 'Apteka "Pod Orlem"

During the German occupation, this building served as the only pharmacy in the Jewish ghetto and was run by the Polish pharmacist Tadeusz Pankiewicz. He received permission from the German authorities to run his business here, but was secretely active in the underground resistance and offered help to the Jews in the ghetto. For his heroic deeds Tadeusz Pankiewicz was awarded the medal "Righteous Among the Nations". Nowadays, the pharmacy is a museum about the Jewish ghetto during World War II.
