Memorial St George Chapel

This plaque is attached to the St George Chapel. This chapel is in the courtyard of the Caen castle. The text on the memorial: [i] In honour of the men and women of the province of Ontario, who served in the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Army and the Royal Canadian Air Force in the Battle of Normandy 1944 Erected by the Government and People of the Province of Ontario, Canada June 7, 1984 [/i] There is also another memorial at the chapel, that commemorates the fallen civilians on 8 July 1944. De ash of these civilians is located in the wall of the chapel.
