The 88mm PAK 43/41 Anti-tank cannon was gifted by the English liberators, commanded by Major Evans, after the heavy fights of September 1944 till January 1945, when Susteren was the front city during that period. The German gun is a permanent reminder to this period. In May 2001, the PAK 43/41 was fully restored and has now its original sand colour, camouflage and marks back.
