During this bombings the population hided sometimes weeks in a row in very small spaces and rooms of the underground tunnels under the fortress of Vittoriosa. The museum has restored these underground rooms and tunnels and equipped with items from that period. Also the actions of the Matlese resistance fighters carried out in 1942 are shown.
