Tallboy bomb crater Tirpitz
Håkøyvegen, Kvaløysletta (Tromsø)
Troms, Norway

This bomb crater was caused by a British Tallboy bomb during the attack on the German battleship Tirpitz on 12 November 1944. On that day, the ship was bombed by Lancaster bombers of the RAF and sunk. In addition to this one, there are more craters in this area caused by these 5,000-kilogram bombs, which did not hit their targets at the time.
