Memorial Armand Cohen en Elie Boccara

Elie Boccara lived here and together with his brother-in-law Armand Cohen (resistance fighter, member of the Brutus network) they were arrested by the Germans on November 20, 1943. Armand Cohen was shot dead on November 24 after being tortured. Elie Boccara was deported from Drancy camp to Auschwitz on December 17, 1943. Last sign of life was found in a report of April 3, 1945 from the Opole hospital (Poland).
