Dutch Monument Mill Hill Cemetery London

Milespit Hill, NW7 2RR, London
Greater London, England

After the surrender of the Netherlands to the Germans, many Dutch civilians and military personnel made the crossing to Great Britain to join or continue fighting with the Dutch Navy, the Royal Air Force or the Princess Irene Brigade. Two hundred and fifty-four of them are buried at the Dutch National War Cemetery in Mill Hill, London. These memorial stones list another 185 names of Dutch victims who are buried elsewhere in the United Kingdom and, for various reasons, could not be transferred to this cemetery.
