There are no traces left at this crash site today, so no memorial or the like. The aircraft involved was a Halifax Mk.IIa bomber HR740 NP-K. This aircraft was shot down on the night of 12-13 June 1943 by Oblt. R. Bokemeyer of II./NJG 5. After the crew had left the aircraft using parachutes, it exploded and the debris landed on the Bekspringweg / Oude Postweg just outside Oldenzaal.
