Flak Batterie Cap Roux

The Flak battery Cap Roux, consisted of a FA BI-stelle (= command bunker Flak battery), four FA Munition bunkers and one FuMG 401 (= Funkmessgerät or radar) Construction started in the fall of 1943 and was completed in August 1944. The crew was supplied by the "gemischte Flak-Abteilung 481 (v) - Flak Regiment 69 – 18. Flak-Brigade" and had four Flak 8,8cm A.A. guns and three Flak 2cm A.A. guns. The site has now been converted into a tourist observation point with parking. Crew: gemischte Flak-Abteilung 481 (v) - Flak Regiment 69 – 18.
