Festung Königsberg - Fort I "Stein"

This fort has an unusual history as regards to the battle of Königsberg (1945). "Stein" was taken by the Red Army, encountering few resistance. The commandant refused to surrender and was shot by his subordinates. [b]The fort today:[/b] Fort "Stein" can be visited on the sundays.
