Royal Castle Warsaw
Plac Zamkowy 4, Warszawa
Masovian, Poland

The royal castle of Warsaw was damaged by German bombardments on the city in 1939. It was plundered during the German occupation and Adolf Hitler ordered the destruction of the castle, however, it was not (because of the protest of Italy) until after the Warsaw Uprising of 1944 when this order was carried out.
