Festung Krakau - Fort 49a "Dłubnia"

Fort 49a "Dłubnia" was constructed between 1892 and 1896 as part of the Austrian-Hungarian Festung Krakau. This fort was used by the Germans during the Second World War as munition storage and was turned into a stronghold in 1944. It participated in the defence of Kraków in January 1945 against the Red Army. [b]The fort today:[/b] It is currently owned of an organisation.
