Memorial erected by surviving members of No. 102 and 405 Squadrons who served at 'RAF Pocklington' during WW2; also the nearby memorial seat (replaced in 2017). Directions: turn off the main road between York and Hull (A1079) at the roundabout onto Hodsow Lane leading to Pocklington (town), then shortly turn left onto the airfield at the entrance to the 'Wolds Gliding Club'. Follow that and park at the clubhouse and the memorial and seat are just beyond that. Beware gliders but visitors are always made welcome. Petrol and café alongside the roundabout.
