Crash Location Heinkel 111

This Heinkel 111 crashed here in May 1945. One of its crew members was Léon Degrelle, Waffen-SS leader in Belgium, who seeked refuge in Spain. Franco refused to hand the wounded Belgian over to the Allies. Degrelle was granted a new life under a new identity.
