The museum is housed in the former temporary headquarters of General Leclerc, On 12 August 1944, Général Leclerc founded his command post in this building. It is a small museum with documents and photographs, what gives a nice impression of the history of Alençon during the Second World War. The German occupation and the liberation of Alençon are the main subjects of this museum.
