In a beautiful park in the middle of Bremen in Germany, is a memorial commemorating the Lidice Massacre in June 1942. As one of the brutal retalliations to the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, Nazi acting Reichsprotektor, Lidice - a village in Czech erroneously connected to the assassination, was razed, 340 people murdered: all male citizens shot, the females and children transported and gassed.
