Gleiwitz Radio Station Museum
Tarnogórska 129, Gliwice
Silesian, Poland

This museum is located within the original radio station of Gleiwitz (now Gliwice), which was the site of Operation Himmler; a secret German covert operation executed by SD agents dressed like Polish soldiers. The station was stormed on 31 August 1939 and its crew arrested. The agents broadcasted anti German rhetoric from the station and eventually retreated, leaving the body of a local Polish man behind. The German Army rolled over the Polish border the next day.
