Memorial Liberation SS prisoners at Hotel Pragser Wildsee

This plaque on the wall of the chapel of hotel Pragser Wildsee commemorates the 133 important prisoners of the SS who on 30 April 1945, after liberation by the Wehrmacht, found refuge in the hotel. Among them were important prisoners from different countries, including politicians, royals, members of the clergy, family members of people who were involved in the coup of 20 July 1944 and high ranking military officers. All names are mentioned on this plaque.
