Bunker Spanish Civil War Colmenar del Arroyo

This bunker, also called Blockhaus 13, was built during the Spanish Civil War. The town of Colmenar de Arroya was captured by Nationalist forces in November 1936 and subsequently formed the front line west of Madrid. Fearing a Republican counter-offensive, it was decided to build a defense line of which this well-preserved bunker was part.
