The Japanese Cemetery of Singapore contains the ashes of 10,000 Japanese war dead. There are also memorials for 135 war criminals execited in Singapore and 79 war criminals shot in Malaysia. A separate memorial (picture 2) is for Field Marshal Count Terauchi Hisaichi, commander for occupied South-East-Asia. He was shot as war criminal in November 1945. There are also the graves of 41 Japanese civilians who died in the internment camp at Jurong while waiting for repatriation after the Japanese surrender in World War II.
