Falklands War Memorial Ushuaia





This memorial commemorates the Falklands war and consists of several parts: The [b]Wall of remembrance[b] contain the names of the the 649 Argentine servicemen who were killed in the war for the Islas Malvinas (Falklands) in 1982. The [b] Monument in Plaza Islas Malvinas [/ b] commemorates the 649 Argentinian soldiers who died in the war for the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands) in 1982. The islands are still claimed by Argentina. The [b] A.R.A. General Belgrano Monument [/ b] commemorates the 323 victims who fell in the sinking of the Argentinian cruiser A.R.A. General Belgrano in the Falklands War, May 2, 1982. A wall contains private memorials for army units and Argentine servicemen who were killed in the war for the Islas Malvinas (Falklands) in 1982. The complex also includes a photo exhibition.
