Festung Thorn - Torun Airfield

This airfield was built by the Prussian Army from 1912 to 1913, before it was taken over by the Poles after the First World War. The airfield was bombed by the Luftwaffe on 1 September 1939, leaving casualties in the Polish Army. The airfield was re-used by the Luftwaffe during the German occupation and was eventually sabotaged by German forces in 1945.
