Next to the Perth War Cemetery is a separate plot with 25 Dutch war graves, with its own entrance at Smyth Road. The Dutch were victims of a Japanese airstrike on 3 March 1942 in the bay at Broome on 16 flying boats filled with evacuees - soldiers as well as civilians -from Java, . In total, the attack caused 64 Dutch casualties.
