Memorial Branco van Dantzig Rotterdam

Branco van Dantzig was born in 1870 in Friesland, was a pioneer in voice and speech therapy education in the Netherlands. In Rotterdam she was a teacher at the Municipal School for nursery-school teachers and the Municipal Training College for Teachers. Because of her Jewish background Branco van Dantzig was in september 1942 deported to Auschwitz where she was murdered in the Auschwitz concentration camp on 17 september 1942. At the corner Schietbaanlaan / Bellevoysstraat are these plaques in her memory.
