In St. Anthony's Cathedral hang a plaque and bust depicting the Franciscan bishop S. Massimiliano Maria Kolbe. He was martyred in KZ Auschwitz, where he arrived on August 14, 1941. The plaque stands include the text in Italian and Turkish: Resentment of the Dead, Alone, Creates Love.
