Memorial 20th Convoy

Brouwersstraat, 3190, Boortmeerbeek
Flemish-Brabant, Belgium

At the station of Boortmeerbeek, on 19 April 1943, a transport of Jews was stopped by three members of the resistance. Because of this, 17 people could escape from the train. Is was the only transport of Jews which was stopped during the Second World War. The monument used to be located at the station itself (see picture) but is now moved to a new location after construction work at the station.
