Memorial Einar Hærland Uranienborg
Sporveisgata, Oslo
Oslo, Norway
The plaque has been established in memory of Einar Hærland who fought as Captain in Northern Norway during Operation Weserübung (April 1940). After the fall of Norway, he joined the resistance and was hired in by the police. When Gunnar Lindvig, a Nazi police chief, was murdered by the resistance, the SiPo (or Sicherheitspolizei) executed Hærland. His execution marked the start of Operation Blumenpflücken, an operation to eliminate Norwegian resistance fighters.
