The text on the memorial is: [i]On the 4th of May 1945 at this spot the following people were shot and buried by the S.D. Arie Schaafsma (1914) and Klaas Schaafsma (1922), broers and Henricus Rijnders (1885) They had oppossed against the occupier 26 April 2007[/i]
