The memorial for the bombing casualties of Westkapelle is situated in Westkapelle General Cemetery, behind the light tower. The memorial consists of a plot with graves of the casualties in a half circle and a cross. On the back of the pedestal is the following text to read: We are free But it took your death (Song of songs 171:2) In the middle of the plot is a memorial with the names of missing persons. [b]A grave of the killed Dutchman Jacob Brasser[/b] Text on the stone (translated): [i]Here lies our beloved son, brother and fiancee Jacob Brasser. Born. March 11, 1915 Killed July 20, 1943[/i] [b]Collective grave of 4 Dutch mineclearers.[/b] This is a collective grave of 4 Dutch mineclearers who were killed when a mine, which was washed ashore, exploded during the disassembly. Their names were: G.J.J. Bruinsma N. Munk L.N. van der Knaap J.F. Francois
