From May 1940 till December 1944, 30.000 people were killed at Hartheim castle. The victims (mental patients, people with disabilities and concentration camp prisoners) died by lethal injections and gassing. During this horrible period a gas chamber, Moratorium and crematorium were built at the castle. [b]The castle today:[/b] It is possible to visit a documentation centre and memorial place within Hartheim castle.
