Widerstandsnest 16 Morris - 669 - II

This German Widerstandsnest was armed with four 100mm guns in Regelbau 669 bunkers. The fourth and final bunker was not ready at the time of the invasion. This Widerstandsnest was conquered by B Company of the 1st Suffolk on June 6, 1944. The garrison had surrendered after a short artillery barrage. The Regelbau 669 is a "Schartenstand für Feldgeschütze (60°) ohne Nebenräume".
