The soil which this cemetery is build on was a gift from the Dutch People to make an permanent restingplace for the Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen whose lives are being remembered here. It is a cemetery for the casualties of the Commonwealth There are 664 Soldiers buried out of the Commonwealth. Next to them there is 1 Dutchmen of the Prinses Irene Brigade and 1 British man from the British organization who maintain the graveyards. Photo 5 shows the cemetery around 1950.
