On Kirchlauter Churchyard is the grave of Nina Schenk, Gräfin von Stauffenberg, wife of Claus Schenk, Graf von Stauffenberg. After the assault on Hitler, she was impeisoned but she survived the war. She died in Kirchlauter in 2006. On the headstone her husband is commemorated.
