Memorial Nikolai Erastowitsch Bersarin

This plaque commemorates Nikolai Erastowitsch Bersarin, the first Soviet city-commander of Berlin after the victory over Germany. He was killed in an accident on 16 June 1945. As city-commander, he was strongly committed to the restoration of livelihoods and the cultural life of Berlin.
