The Royal Air Force Memorial reminds the residents of Mheer, Municipality Margraten, the British pilots of the Royal Air Force and remember those who were helping in passing the border in 1944, Sjeng Senden, Joseph Opreij en Leo Willems. The Memorial was unveiled on 8 June 1969 by the Queen's Commissioner in the province of Limburg, Dr Ch.JMA van Rooy during the reunion of RAF pilots and resistance fighters of the pilot lines, 25 years after the liberation.
