This Memorial recalls the 'Flee of Breda'. On May 12th 1940 the residents of Breda had to flee because Breda threatened to be a battlefield. The fighting between the Germans and the Dutch with the French were at that time around Breda. In the Flee of Breda were 112 deaths. Text on the memorial: MAY 1940 The Memorial was designed by Hein Koreman and was revealed in 1957.
