Text on the monument: [i]In honor of them and our fatherland died here killed in action cpl. R. Stohhard tpr. B. Nicholis 20-09-1944[/i] (Picture 4 shows their first temporary grave) Close to the monument are 2 benches with the inscription: [i]"44th Royal-tank-regiment" and "101-airborne"[/i] On 25 September 2009, additional names of 29 people who were killed in Nuenen in the Second World War were added to the monument, on a separate plaque, due to research of Foppe de Lang.
