City Hall Paris
60 Rue de Rivoli, Paris, 4e
Île-de-France, France
The city hall of Paris was one of the strongholds of the Forces Françaises de l'Intérieur (FFI) during the Battle of Paris (19-25 August 1944). On 25 August 1944, Charles de Gaulle gave a speech to the Parisians on the balcony of the building. These bullet and grenade impacts are the silent witnesses of the fierce fightings which took place during the Battle of Paris (19-25 August 1944).
