Memorial Josef Buchkremer

This plaque commemorates Josef Buchkremer, the later bishop of Aachen who was chaplain in this church. Because of his attitude against the Nazis he was arrested by the SS in 1942 and imprisoned in Dachau concentration camp, where he was liberated in 1945. The plaque is part of the project "Wege Gegen Das Vergessen" (Ways Against Forgetting).
