Belgian War Graves Bree

The cemetery in Bree contains the graves of military victims of the Second World War. These are the graves of BANCKEN Albert, fell in Leopoldsburg on 10 May 1940; ANTONI Frederik, member of Brigade Piron, fell in Thorn (N) on 27 September 1944. There are graves of resistance fighters, including VRANCKEN J., who died in the Neuengamme concentration camp in 1944; PETERS Gertrudis, died in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp on 17 April 1945. There are still a number of graves of civilian victims of the Second World War, PALMANS Philomène, 14 September 1944 and DREES Mathieu, 3 September 1944.
