Labor Camp (Arbeitslager) Brünnlitz

Arbeitslager Brünnlitz was established in 1944 as sub camp of KZ Gross-Rosen. The 'Schindler Jews' arrived here in October 1944, where they were put to work in the munition industry. The guards consisted of a SS detachment under command of SS-Obersturmführer Josef Leipold. The Red Army liberated Brünnlitz on 9 May 1945. [b]The camp today:[/b] The terrain can't be accessed without permission of the owner, who is currently demolishing several original plant buildings to make room for a new factory. The production halls (munition) are standing on different locations on the same factory terrain.
