Statue Douglas Bader

This statue commemorates Douglas Bader, who - despite losing both legs in a plane crash earlier - one of the most successful British pilots in World War II. Eventually he was taken prisoner-of-war and was even some time imprisoned in Colditz. After the war he continued career in the RAF.
