Close to 'The Hidden Village' is the pace where eight Jews were shot and buried, after the village was found by the Occupier. The memorial has the following text: [i]On October 31th 1944 the following Jewish people were shot. ARNOLD DE LEEUW 58 YRS. LOUISA MATHILDA DE LEEUW-WEIJL 50 YRS. JOHAN DE LEEUW 29 YRS. AREND SAMUEL MEIJERS 45 YRS. JOHN ROEDOLF MEIJERS 6 YRS. HARTOG SPIJER 59 YRS. MAX GOMPES 73 YRS. KAATJE GOMPES-SCHOONHOED 66 YRS. They found in 1943-1944 a temporary resting-place in 'The Hidden Village' May 4th 1994[/i]
