Yad Vashem

The Yad Vashem is Israël's national Holocaust memorial. The purpose of Yad Vashem to remember the Holocaust and that lessons from this period can be teached to the next generations. In the building is a hall of names with lots of photos of victims of the Holocaust. There is also an art gallery, an archive and a research center for Holocaust documentation. Israel's annual Holocaust remembrance is in the Yad Vashem. On the website of Yad Vashem is in cooperation with Google a very large database developed. This is for everyone free to search and is filled with details of thousands of Jewish victims.
