Monument in memory of Salvo D'Acquisto. Salvo Rosario Antonio D'Acquisto (Naples, 17 October 1920 – Palidoro, 23 September 1943) was a brigadier in the Carabinieri who received the Gold Medal for Military Valour for sacrificing himself on 23 September 1943 to save a group of civilians during a raid by Nazi troops during World War II.
